Spy Dénommé-Welch

Spy Dénommé-Welch is a doctoral candidate in the Faculty of Education at York University.  Spy is also a BA honours graduate in Theatre Studies and Women’s Studies at the University of Guelph. His academic interests are studying the relationship of independent filmmaking, Native/Métis studies, and transformation among transgender and Two-Spirit bodies. Spy continues to be an artist, playwright, filmmaker, and activist. His works have been shown in venues such as the Fringe Toronto Theatre festival, Ed Video, Zavitz Gallery (Guelph), Good For Her, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, University of British Columbia, University of Victoria, University of Windsor and at the Canadian Association for the Prevention of Discrimination and Harassment in Higher Education.
