Karyn Sandlos completed her PhD in the Faculty of Education at York University. Her research interests include artists’ media, psychoanalysis, curation, and public pedagogies.  She is the co-editor, with Saara Liinamaa and Janine Marchessault, of “Urban Interventions,” a recent issue of Public (32) on art and the city. Sandlos has been member of a number of artist run organizations, collectives and Boards of Directors in Toronto, including The Images Festival of Independent Film and Video, Pleasuredome, The Independent Imaging Retreat, and REHAB: Parkdale’s Film and Video Showcase.
